Hamilton 2003 Road World Cycling Championships schedule - Sunday, October 12


Tomorrow is the final day of racing at the 2003 Road World Cycling Championships and it will culminate with the Elite Men's Road Race.

Today 67,000 fans watched the Junior Men and Elite Women Road Races along the race course. After five days of racing 125,000 fans have attended the Road World Championships in Hamilton.

RACE SCHEDULE
  • The race will utilize the Road Race Course - 12.4 km
  • In the Road Race, the riders start as one group with the first rider crossing the finish line being declared the winner
  • 9:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. - Elite Men Road Race - 21 laps for a total race distance of 260.4 km
    * Canadians Participating - Canadian RR Champion Dominique Perras (Brossard, QC), Michael Barry (Toronto, ON), Mark Walters (Blackstock, ON) and Eric Wohlberg (Levack, ON)

    FESTIVAL
  • 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Aboriginal Festival, Bayfront Park
  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Mohawk in Motion Family Zone, Mohawk College
  • 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Rooftop Arts & Music Festival, Jackson Square Rooftop
  • 4:00 p.m. to midnight - Rib Row Street Festival

    TICKETS
  • Tickets for today's races for the Gold Grandstand at the Start / Finish Line are available at the Copps Coliseum Box Office and for the Silver Standing area on the Claremont Access at the bottom and top of the Access, and for Beckett Drive at the bottom and top of the hill. Tickets are also on-sale through Ticketmaster by phone or on-line at www.ticketmaster.ca
