Hamilton 2003 Road World Cycling Championships schedule - Thursday, October 9
Today is the third day of racing at the 2003 Road World Cycling Championships. In the morning there will be a training session on the road race course and in the afternoon the Elite Men Time Trial will start at 12:30 p.m..
Yesterday 11,000 fans watched the Junior Men and Elite Women time trials along the race course. After two days of racing 19,000 fans have attended the Road World Championships in Hamilton.
RACE SCHEDULE
The Elite Men's Time Trial will utilize the Long Time Trial Course - 20.8 km
In the Time Trial, riders start one minute apart in an individual race against the clock, with the rider recording the fastest time being declared the winner
* 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Training - Road Race Course
12:30 p.m. to 4:05 p.m. - Elite Men Time Trial - 2 lap for a total race distance of 41.6 km
* Canadians Participating - Canadian TT Champion Eric Wohlberg (Levack, ON) and Jean-Francois Laroche (Magog, QC)
FESTIVAL
10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Aboriginal Festival, Bayfront Park
12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Rooftop Arts & Music Festival, Jackson Square Rooftop
7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. - Steamwhistle Bikes, Bands & Beer Party

Tickets for today's races for the Gold Grandstand at the Start / Finish Line are available at the Copps Coliseum Box Office and for the Silver Standing area on the Claremont Access at the bottom and top of the Access.
