Hamilton 2003 partners with Pedal Magazine
Hamilton, ON -The Hamilton 2003 Organizing committee has announced today that it has strengthened its partnership with Pedal Magazine. Pedal has signed on as an Official Media Partner of the 2003 Road World Cycling Championship further establishing themselves as one of Canada's most renowned and elite cycling publications.
Under the partnership, Pedal is providing Hamilton 2003 with advertising within the magazine and on www.pedalmag.com, as well as distributing promotional information on the Road World Championships within the magazine and through its network of retailers and event partners.
Pedal Magazine is one of Canada's premier cycling publications covering all aspects of the sport. Pedal was established in 1986 as a regional publication for the Niagara region. In 1989 Pedal changed to its current ownership and was re-launched as Canada's national cycling magazine. Pedal has a rich history in supporting cycling initiatives across Canada having partnered with many organizations and events such as the Becel Ride for Heart, the Grouse Mt. UCI/MTB World Cup, the TransRockies Challenge, the 24 Hours of Adrenalin Series, and the Toronto International Bicycle Show.
The Road World Cycling Championships will be staged in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from October 6 to 12, 2003. Hamilton, a city of 500,000, is located on the western edge of Lake Ontario, roughly midway between Niagara Falls and Toronto, and approximately a one-hour drive from Buffalo, New York. Over 800 athletes from over 50 different countries will compete in ten different races. There are two disciplines - the individual time trial and the road race with five different classifications, elite men and women, junior men and women, as well as Under 23 men. It will be only the sixth time the Road World Championships have been held outside Europe and the second time in Canada, the first occasion was 1974 in Montreal.
