Main Tent Entertainment will include a variety of performances, including Social Dancing, Storytelling, Aboriginal songs, flute music & other traditional music, 2 15-minute skits per day highlighting history & culture of Aboriginal people. See World Championship Hoop Dancer Lisa Odjig, internationally acclaimed Kanata Dancers, and the prestigious Smoke Dance!
Aboriginal Artisans & Craftsmen will be on site selling their wares, including dreamcatchers, medicine bags, pottery, stone carvings, clothing & jewelry. Over 50 artisans & craftsmen will be participating, including renowned musician and carver David Maracle!
Aboriginal Food Vendors will sell Aboriginal themed food, including "Indian Tacos" and buffalo meat
Aboriginal Interactive Learning Centres will encourage participants to get a "hands on" learning experience. 5 Learning Stations will be set up daily, with themes including "the legend of the medicine wheel", lacrosse, an aboriginal language centre, indigenous knowledge & spirituality, and a chance to make your own dreamcatcher!
Photo opportunities - Guests of the Aboriginal Festival will have the opportunity to take photos with representatives of the Aboriginal Community in traditional regalia
