Serge Aubin Chat

Eric, Bears season ticket holder: Hey Serge! I just wanted to tell you how great you are doing. I saw both of your hat tricks last weekend and all the shots were beauties. I know you must like playing with Christian, but do you feel the team is incomplete without Hinote?

Serge Aubin For sure, I know being part of our team, any time you lose a guy like him, it is going to hurt the team. But it is a good time for the team to step up. But overall the team is doing great, but we know as soon as he is back it is going to be better for the team.

Anonymous: Hey what do you think about being at the top along with rivals philadelphia and kentuckey??

Serge Aubin I think it's great. With 19 games to go, it's fun to be in a close division. It keeps us on the edge and good preparation for the playoffs. It really is pushing our game to the limit and hopefully soon, we will open up a lead on some teams.

Cathy: Hey Serge! You were outstanding this weekend!! Way to go! Okay, here's my question: Have you heard any trade rumors, if so, how will this affect the team?

Serge Aubin Personally, i haven't heard anything. Rumours are a part of hockey and i know there will be more coming up. Trades are a part of hockey and if they happen, it is part of the game. It is our job to accept that, so until that happens, we just play. We have no control over those matters, so no, we can't let it affect our game.

Andrea Loyal: Hi Serge! We miss you here in Cleveland! I was wondering how married life was treating you and how do you like playing in Hershey/Colorado organization?

Serge Aubin Married life is treating me really, really good. We are expecting a child in the next month or so. Here in Hershey, the people and city are great, we have been treated very well the whole time.

Whaler: Serge, do you think the Bears have what it takes the finally get out of their division in the playoffs this year? The Phantoms and Blades are really playing well right now.

Serge Aubin I think so. I think right now, our division is really strong, however we have beaten every team in our division this year, therefore, we feel we can win againa and take the division. We know we will all have to show up to beat team like Philly cause it will be tough to take the division.

Corey: Serge do you feel like you might have a chance of making the Colorado Avalanche next year?

Serge Aubin I don't know. Right now it is my last year under contract with the Avs. Who knows, next year i may not be with them, all I know is that I would love to play in the NHL next year. But right now, i want to help the Bears win the Calder Cup and that is priority.

Denis Déziel: Serge, do you think you will be able to score 50 goals this year ?

Serge Aubin A lot of people are talking to me about that. I think about it sometimes, but it is not a priority. We are winning, having fun, so 50 would be nice, but I am not going to change my game to get it, if I do, that would be great, but the playoff run is more important.

Joe: what can you say about the phantom vs bear rivalry and is the phantoms your teams most hated rival right now.

Serge Aubin Hershey and Phantoms is a huge rivalry. Two years ago we got beaten by them. They used to play here, and with the division being so close, every it seems it is a big rival. Every time we play each other, the games are intense, the fans are into it. But yes, the rivalry is big and will be for awhile.

Lindsay : Hey surge, i am one of your really big fans!! i was wondering at what age did you start playing hockey, and what got you interested in the sport?? Thanx Surge Congrats on both of your hat tricks last weekend!! good luck with playoffs!!

Serge Aubin I started skating at around 3.5/4 years old. I played on a team at age 5. In Canada, when you are that young, everyone plays hockey, my parents brought me to the rink and since then, i have loved it since. It really is the number one sport where I am from.

Mary: How do you and the team mentally prepare for big rivals such as Philly?

Serge Aubin I think we prepare the same way. We don't really do anything special for them. We do have to be on top of our game, because 60 minutes is a game and if we aren't ready for them, they can hurt you.

Jay in Section 31: Hi Serge!! How long have you and Chris Matte been playing hockey together? I'd love to see you, Chris, and Dan H. on the same line in the NHL.

Serge Aubin We have been playing since age 16. WE played Midget AAA together and things are going well for us. We both know each other really well and both thrive palying together. He is a good friend as well.

Serge Aubin No, no friendly bet between me and Christian. With 19 games left, lots can happen. WE are good friends and whoever wins, we will be happy for each other. It is good for both of us, it pushes us to a higher level. As far as our team goes, we have a great shot. Our team is in great shape, our coaching staff is well in place and things seem up heading into the playoffs, I'm looking forward to it.
