THE SKINNY: Owner of the most feared slapshot in the league... Will be a
fixture on the point on one of the power plays for Team Canada... Scored two
goals in the 1991 Canada Cup and had another deuce at the 1998 Olympics... The
oldest member of Team Canada. One of the ageless marvels of the game. Has
played as well or better after turning 30 than he did before... Suffered an
eye injury that almost ended his career a year ago. Missed 23 games, but came
back with a strong playoff (10 points in 15 post-season games)... Has slowed
down a bit over the years, but makes up for losing a step or two with veteran
experience... Has had three hat tricks in the NHL... Topped the century mark in
points in 1990-91 with Calgary when he had 28 goals and 75 assists... 28
remains his season-high for goals scored which he has done three times... Won
a Stanley Cup with the Calgary Flames in 1989...
FAMOUS FOR: Slapshot
INFAMOUS FOR: Clearing front of other team's net.
SHOOTOUT POTENTIAL: Is 1/1 on his only NHL penalty shot.
