Jeff Bean grabbed the fourth and final berth on the men's aerials team at the final World Cup before the cut-off date in January to earn a second consecutive trip to the Olympic Games.

It completed a nice comeback for Bean, who also qualified in his final opportunity to make the 1998 team. He missed most of the 1999-2000 season due to a broken leg then in summer of 2000 he underwent surgery for a recurring knee injury.

"I had to work hard for this," said Bean, who won a silver medal at an aerials World Cup, one of four top-10 results he's posted this season. "I have the jumps right now to compete with the best. If I can lay down my jumps solidly I have a shot at a medal at the Olympics."
