 Atia Weekes is one of Canada's youngest members on the track and field team. She was on the Canada's Pan Am Games squad last summer. Her previous international experience includes participations at the 1998 world junior championships and 1998 Pan Am junior championships. She swept gold in the 100 and 200 sprints at the national junior championships in 1997. At this year's nationals she was third in the 100 clocking 11.40 seconds.
